What is the difference between a workshop and a pathway?
A workshop is a focused course for developing or strengthening one particular skill. A pathway brings together several complementary workshops so as to build a coherent set of skills step by step.
Can I take a single workshop without enrolling in the whole pathway?
Yes. Where the workshop is open to individual enrolment, you may take it independently of the pathway it belongs to.
What certification will I receive?
A workshop attended and validated earns a PRIMA LAB ACADEMY training certificate, which you can download from your personal area. All seven pathways are certifying: validating every workshop and meeting the stated requirements earns a PRIMA LAB ACADEMY certificate of qualification.
Is the training mainly theoretical?
No. PRIMA LAB ACADEMY favours a practice-led approach: targeted theory, demonstrations, practical workshops, case studies, role play, professional exercises and digital tools, depending on the course.
How do I obtain my training certificate?
As soon as a workshop is validated, your training certificate is available to download from your personal area.
How do I obtain my pathway certificate?
The certificate of qualification is issued by PRIMA LAB ACADEMY once the complete pathway has been validated. It is given to you in printed form. Your personal area tells you when it has been issued.

Who is the training for?
Depending on the course: students, interns, recent graduates, phlebotomists, nurses, technicians and technologists, biologists, reception and administrative staff, managers and heads of laboratory, laboratories and institutions.
I am a student. Can I take part?
Yes, where the workshop or pathway is open to students.
Do I already need to work in a laboratory to take part?
Not necessarily. Some courses are open to students and recent graduates, while others call for professional experience or a particular profile.
INSCRIPTIONS
How do I enrol on a course?
When a session is open, click “Enrol”. You fill in a short form, then receive an e-mail straight away with a link to your personal area, where you upload the documents requested and follow the progress of your file.
What if no session is currently scheduled?
You can click “Register my interest” and pre-register. Once enough participants have come forward, PRIMA LAB ACADEMY may consider opening an additional session. People who have pre-registered are contacted first.
Does registering my interest guarantee me a place?
No. Pre-registration is only an expression of interest. It is not a definitive enrolment, it does not reserve a place, and it does not commit you to payment.
Can I register my interest in more than one course?
Yes. You may register your interest in several workshops or pathways.
Can I suggest a course that is not yet in the catalogue?
Yes. You are welcome to tell us what you need. These requests help us identify emerging needs and shape the development of new courses. Button: Suggest a course
Can I enrol on a complete pathway rather than workshop by workshop?
Yes. You may subscribe to a complete pathway: your file is submitted once and covers every workshop. Your personal area then shows your progress through to the certificate.
TARIFS & PAIEMENT
Where can I find the price of a course?
Each workshop has its own price, shown on its page, as a student rate and a professional rate. The price of a complete pathway is shown on that pathway’s page.
Is the complete pathway better value than taking the workshops separately?
Yes. The price of a complete pathway is lower than the sum of the prices of the workshops it contains. The saving is shown on each pathway’s page.
Can I pay in instalments?
Payment in instalments may be offered for the longer pathways. The terms are set out at enrolment.

Where does the training take place?
The venue is stated for each session. It is given at enrolment and repeated in your joining instructions.
Are places limited?
Yes. Numbers may be capped, particularly for practical courses, so as to encourage participation and protect the quality of the learning.

Can a course be arranged for our team?
Yes. Sessions for closed groups can be arranged from the courses available in the catalogue.
